n1ABSTRACT: n1SAŽETAK:
n2The first chapter of this paper presents theoretical terms in the field of eLibraries, which are later further explained using the example of the eLibrary of the Goethe-Institut, called Onleihe. n2U ovom radu bavimo se najpre teorijskim pojmovima vezanim za elektronsku biblioteku, a podrobnije ih objašnjavamo na primeru eBiblioteke Gete-instituta.
n3After a short historical overview of eLibraries in general, the final chapter presents the results of the survey conducted among active users of the Onleihe. n3Prikazali smo i kratku istoriju elektronskih biblioteka, a u završnom poglavlju predstavljamo rezultate ankete sprovedene među aktivnim korisnicima eBiblioteke Gete-instituta.
n4The purpose of this survey was to deter-mine users’ habits as well as their impressions considering the offer of the Onleihe. n4Anketom smo želeli da utvrdimo pre svega korisničke navike ispitanika, kao i njihove utiske o ponudi i korisničkim servisima eBiblioteke.
n5We also tried to determine the causalities between their gender, age, education level, location, knowledge of the German language and previous experiences in tra-ditional and eLibraries, if any, on the one hand and the aforementioned habits and impressions on the other. n5Pokušali smo da utvrdimo uzročno-posledične veze između korisnikovog pola, starosti, obrazovanja, mesta stanovanja, znanja nemačkog jezika i ranijeg iskustva u elektronskim i klasičnim bibliotekama sa jedne i njegovih navika i utisaka sa druge strane.
n6KEYWORDS: eLibrary, digital library, digital reading. n6KLjUČNE REČI: elektronska biblioteka, digitalna biblioteka, digitalno čitanje.
n7In order to fully understand the subject matter relating to electronic libraries, it is necessary to define first the terms such as electronic books, electronic reader, electronic library and digital rights management (DRM: Digital Rights Management). n7Da bismo u potpunosti razumeli materiju koja se tiče elektronskih biblioteka, najpre je potrebno da definišemo pojmove poput elektronske knjige, elektronskog čitača, elektronske biblioteke i upravljanja digitalnim pravima (DRM: Digital Rights Management).
n8According to the electronic version of the Oxford dictionary, an electronic book, abbreviated as eBook, is an electronic version of a printed book that can be read on a computer or a handheld device (mobile phone), designed specifically for that purpose. n8Prema elektronskoj verziji Oksfordovog rečnika, elektronska knjiga, ili skraćeno, e-knjiga, predstavlja elektronsku verziju štampane knjige, koju je moguće čitati na računaru ili ručnom (mobilnom, prim. aut.) uređaju, specijalno dizajniranom za te potrebe.
n9In the older editions of the Duden and Brockhaus encyclopaedias, we find the definitions of an eBook (e-Book, elektronisches Buch) that have in the meantime been ascribed to the term electronic reader (e-Reader). n9U starijim izdanjima leksikona Duden i Brokhaus pod terminom elektronske knjige (e-Book, elektronisches Buch) pronalazimo definicije koje su u međuvremenu pripisane pojmu elektronskog čitača (e-Reader).
