n1ABSTRACT: This paper discusses the importance of establishing eScience in the context of the transparency of science, the potential scope and reach of Serbian scientific endeavors, and increasing its influence in the international scientific arena.n1SAŽETAK: Ovaj rad bavi se promišljanjem važnosti procesa zasnivanja eNauke u Srbiji, u kontekstu transparentnosti nauke i, s tim u vezi, potencijalnih dometa i dosega srpske nauke u celini i povećanja njenog uticaja u međunarodnoj naučnoj areni.
n2 In this paper, we will reflect on certain technical solutions related to eScience project, pointing out potential problems and benefits, all related to the developments of digital aspects of society„ with an emphasis on the concept of "open science" and the role of libraries and librarians in this ecosystem.n2 U radu ćemo ukazati na kratkoročne i dugoročne ciljeve zasnivanja koncepta eNauke, sa naglaskom na potencijalnim finansijskim uštedama za državni sistem, od čega korist mogu imati svi građani i osvrnuti se na određena tehnička rešenja u vezi sa digitalnim razvojem društva i specijalno nauke, sa posebnim akcentom na koncept „otvorene nauke“ i značaj uloge biblioteka i bibliotekara u zasnivanju jednog ovakvog sistema.
