n1In the age of general misinformation, the employees of the Library of the Students’ City Cultural Center are fighting a multi-year battle for literacy. n1U doba sveopšte dezinformisanosti zaposleni u Biblioteci Doma kulture „Studentski grad“ vode višegodišnju bitku za pismenost.
n2Ten years ago, Obrad Vučkovac made several digital guides: Introduction to In-formation Search, Information Evaluation Guide and Citation Guide which were posted on the institution’s website. n2Još pre deset godina na veb stranici ustanove postavljeni su digitalni vodiči Obrada Vučkovca: Uvod u pretraživanje informacija, Vodič za evaluaciju informacija i Vodič za citiranje.
n3Then, in 2016, information literacy training began, the aim of which was to introduce participants with the concept of lifelong learning. n3Zatim su, 2016. godine, otpočele obuke u vezi sa informacionom pismenošću čiji je cilj bio da se polaznici upoznaju sa konceptom doživotnog učenja.
n4The lectures were about recognizing information sources, search methods and techniques, adequate evaluation of information and its effective use. n4Reč je o prepoznavanju informacionih izvora, načinima i tehnikama pretraživanja, adekvatnoj evaluaciji informacija i njihovom efikasnom korišćenju.
n5At those workshops, the ethical and legal aspects of in-formation literacy were taken into account, and, until 2019, several training cycles were held. n5Na radionicama se vodilo računa i o etičkim i pravnim aspektima informacione pismenosti i, do 2019. godine, održano je više ciklusa obuka.
n6Since not only students were interested in these courses, but also senior researchers and colleagues from other libraries, the employees of the Students’ City Cultural Center Library decided to turn their many years of effort and work into a manual. n6Kako zainteresovani za ove kurseve nisu bili samo studenti, već i stariji istraživači, pa i kolege iz drugih biblioteka, zaposleni u Biblioteci Doma kulture „Studentski grad“ rešili su da svoj višegodišnji trud i rad uobliče u priručnik.
n7In the turbulent and very difficult year of 2020, the publication Introduction to Information Literacy by Nataša Papić, Obrad Vučkovac and Sandra Deljanin was published. n7Turbulentne i svima veoma teške 2020. godine objavljena je publikacija Uvod u informacionu pismenost autora Nataše Papić, Obrada Vučkovca i Sandre Deljanin.
n8Today, Nataša Papić is the manager of the Library of the Students’ City Cultural Center, and the other two authors have left the institution. n8Nataša Papić danas je rukovodilac Biblioteke Doma kulture „Studentski grad“, a ostalo dvoje autora u međuvremenu je otišlo iz ustanove.
n9Sandra Deljanin is employed at the National Library of Serbia, at the Center for shared cataloguing, while Obrad Vučkovac is the manager of the library of the Institute for Nuclear Sciences “Vinča”, which additionally speaks of their advanced knowledge of the areas they wrote about. n9Sandra Deljanin je zaposlena u Narodnoj biblioteci Srbije, u Centru za uzajamnu katalogizaciju RS, dok je Obrad Vučkovac upravnik biblioteke Instituta za nuklearne nauke „Vinča“, što dodatno govori o njihovom naprednom poznavanju oblasti o kojima su pisali.
