n3University Library "Svetozar Markovic" in Belgrade is one of the 18 full partners in the project "Europeana newspapers" along with the most important national and university libraries of Europe and LIBER, German company CCS1, and 11 associated partners. n3Univerzitetska biblioteka „Svetozar Marković“ u Beogradu jedan je od 18 punopravnih partnera u projektu „Evropske novine“ u kome učestvuju najznačajnije nacionalne i univerzitetske biblioteke Evrope, pored organizacije LIBER i nemačke firme CCS1, kao i 11 pridruženih partnera.
n4The users of Europeana portal will have access to the full text search and information retrieval on over 18 million digitized pages of newspapers. n4Projektom će korisnicima Europeane biti omogućen pristup do punog teksta, pretraživanje i pronalaženje informacija na preko 18 miliona digitalizovanih strana novina.
n5The project "Europeana newspapers" lasts from 2012 until 2014. n5Projekat „Evropske novine“ započeo je 2012. i traje do 2014. godine.
n6Within the project, at the University Library in Belgrade on 13 and 14 June 2013 the workshop on the assessment of the quality and refinement of digitized newspaper articles was held. n6U okviru projekta, u Univerzitetskoj biblioteci u Beogradu je 13. i 14. juna 2013. godine održana radionica o proceni kvaliteta i prečišćavanju tekstova digitalizovanih novina.
n7At the workshop about fifty librarians and information specialists from different parts of Europe took part (from Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Denmark, than France, UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Macedonia). n7Na radionici je učešće uzelo pedesetak bibliotekara i informatičkih stručnjaka iz raznih delova Evrope (od Finske, Estonije, Islanda, Danske, preko Francuske, Velike Britanije, Nemačke, Holandije, Švajcarske, Španije, Poljske, Češke do Slovenije, Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine, Bugarske i Makedonije).
n8The workshop was attended by colleagues from the National Library of Serbia, the Nikola Tesla Museum, University Library of the University of Nis. n8Učesnici radionice su, pored predstavnika partnerskih biblioteka, bile i kolege iz Narodne biblioteke Srbije, Muzeja Nikole Tesle, Univerzitetske bibilioteke u Nišu. .
n9After a welcoming speech by prof. Dr. Aleksandar Jerkov, director of the University Library "Svetozar Markovic" and basic information about the workshops presented by Marike Wilms, the main organizer of the workshop and the representative of LIBER, we had the opportunity to hear presentations and helpful suggestions of colleagues working on developing of applications, testing and analysing of delivered digitized content. n9Posle pozdravnog govora prof. dr Aleksandra Jerkova, direktora Univerzitetske biblioteke „Svetozar Marković“ i osnovnih informacija o programu radionice koje je iznela Marike Vilms, glavna organizatorka radionice i predstavnica LIBER-a, imali smo priliku da čujemo izlaganja i korisne sugestije kolega koji u okviru projekta rade na razvoju aplikacija, testiranju i analiziranju dostavljenih digitalizovanih sadržaja.
