Abstract Apstract. How the university leaders see the reality in the university; to establish the university leader capability
to establish the solution for university development; how the university leader could energize, mobilize people
(staff) to fight with the reality, to implement his solution.
Prior work. The concepts of leader and leadership are used in other organizations in Romania and in the world;
for increasing the competitiveness of the universities from Romania, the concepts of leader and leadership should
be transferred and implemented in universities from Romania; the managers of universities from Romania to
make performance / quality, to turn into leaders should be another policy of recruitment, selection and training
them.
Approach. The main methods employeed used: questionnaires, structured interview, literature research, own experience.
Results. The result of research show us: the ability of management to recognize the problems facing nowadays;
the solutions they discern for raising quality in higher education; the possibilities of mobilization / training by the
university management staff of universities to implement the proposed solutions.
Implication. The paper will help university staff and the politician: to change their attitude related to the leadership
in the Romanian university; to offer some principales, methods procedures, technique to be use for a better
management in the Romanian University development, to choose the right leaders for Romanian University.
Value. The characterization of the leaders in Romanian higher education where does not exist research in the area | Apstrakt Apstrakti. Kako lideri na univerzitetu vide realnost na univerzitetu; posti}i da lider na univerzitetu ima sposob-nosti da nađe rešenja za razvoj univerziteta; kako da lider na univerzitetu osnaži i mobiliše ljude (osoblje) da se izbore s realnošću i da primene rešenja do kojih je došao.
Prethodni rad. Koncepti lidera i liderstva primenjeni su i u drugim organizacijama u Rumuniji i svuda u svetu; u cilju povećanja konkurentnosti rumunskih univerziteta, na ove univerzitete treba preneti i primeniti koncepte li-dera i liderstva; menadžeri univerziteta u Rumuniji treba da ostvare učinak / kvalitet; pretvaranje menad`era u lidere treba da bude još jedna politika (mera) njihovog regrutovanja, izbora i obuke.
Pristup. Glavni metodi primenjeni u radu: upitnici, struktuisani intervju, pregled literature, sopstveno iskustvo. Rezultati. Rezultati istraživanja nam pokazuju slede}e: sposobnost menadžmenta da prepozna probleme s koji-ma se danas sre}emo; izbore koje oni prave u cilju podizanja kvaliteta u visokom obrazovanju; mogućnosti da menadžment mobilizuje /obuči osoblje univerziteta da primenjuje predlo`ena rešenja.
Implikacije. Ovaj rad će pomoći osoblju na univerzitetu i političarima: da promene svoje stavove u vezi sa lider-stvom na rumunskim univerzitetima; da ponude neke principe, metodološke postupke i tehnike koje bi se primenile u cilju boljeg upravljanja razvojem univerziteta u Rumuniji i da izaberu prave lidere za rumunske univerzitete.
Vrednost. Karakterizacija lidera u visokom obrazovanju u Rumuniji. U ovoj oblasti još se nisu sprovodila naučna istraživanja
