Abstract
The Belgrade International Theatre Festival – BITEF is the first international festival launched on the territory of former Yugoslavia, and it is significant both for regional culture and for the history of world theatre. The First BITEF, sponsored by the Secretariat of Belgrade, was held in 1967, and it took place in Atelje 212. From its beginnings to this day, the festival has been held every year with no exceptions, generating a large number of documents, posters, audio-visual and other materials. This paper presents the political, cultural and historical events that influenced the creation as well as the shaping of the festival, but also its influence and the significance for the regional and the world theatre scenes. The paper also discusses the jurisdiction of the Historical Archives of Belgrade over the BITEF fond, as well as the entirety of archival materials relating to the first BITEF 212. | Apstrakt
Beogradski internacionalni teatarski festival – BITEF prvi je međunarodni festival pokrenut na teritoriji bivše Jugoslavije, a značajan je kako za našu kulturu, tako i za svetsku pozorišnu istoriju. Prvi BITEF održan je 1967. godine, pod potkroviteljstvom Sekretarijata grada Beograda, na sceni pozorišta Atelje 212. Od početka se Festival održavao svake godine, bez prekida, sve do danas i usput se stvarao veliki broj dokumenata, plakata, audio-vizuelne i druge građe. U ovom radu su predstavljeni politički i kulturno-istorijski događaji koji su uticali na stvaranje i uobličavanje Festivala, ali i njegov uticaj i celokupni značaj za domaću i svetsku pozorišnu scenu. Predstavljena je takođe i nadležnost Istorijskog arhiva Beograda za fond BITEF-a i celokupna arhivska građa prvog BITEF-a 212. |
