Abstract
The digitization of library materials is a complex process, and it consists of several segments that need to be harmonized, so the process could be conducted without difficulty. In this paper, one part of the library and informa-tion system NIBIS which supports the digitization of library materials is presented.At the time when modern librarianship, among the other things, implies the presentation of library materials in a digital form, Stevan Sremac Public Library started digitization of all funds using its own library and information system (system was created and developed in cooperation with the librarians of Stevan Sremac Public Library; all the tests were carried out at the Library).With all the advantages of this system, relying on data that have already been entered in to the electronic database, developers have created an other segment of this software for digitization of library materials in a relatively simple manner.The segment for digitizing library materials was created after sublimation of experiences from librarians who already have digitized their archives, but also conforming to the actual conditions in the Library. | Apstrakt
Digitalizacija bibliotečke građe predstavlja složen proces, a sastoji se iz više segmenata koji moraju biti usaglašeni kako bi taj proces mogao nesmetano da se odvija. U ovom radu predstavljen je jedan deo bibliotečko-informacionog sistema NIBIS i to deo softvera koji po-država digitalizaciju bibliotečke građe.U vremenu u kome savremeno bibliotekarstvo podrazumeva, između ostalog, i prikaz bibliotečke građe u digitalnom obliku, Narodna biblioteka „Stevan Sremac“ je, uz pomoć bibliotečko-informacionog sistema NIBIS (sistem je nastao i razvija se u saradnji sa bibliotekarima niške bi-blioteke; sva testiranja obavljaju se u Biblioteci), započela digitalizaciju svojih fondova. Koristeći sve prednosti ovog sistema, oslanjajući se na podatake koji su u elektronsku bazu već uneseni, izrađen je još jedan deo softvera uz koji je posao digitalizacije bibliotečke građe moguće obaviti na relativno jednostavan način. Deo softvera za digitalizaciju bibliotečke građe izrađen je nakon sublimacije iskustava iz biblioteka koje već dugo vremena digitalizuju svoju građu, ali i u skladu sa realnim uslovima u Biblioteci. |
